Much to be thankful for…

Last Friday, one of my co-workers and I went to the window of a lady we are in contact with but she was with a customer so we decided to wait because we really wanted to talk with her. A few minutes later, a car with four men in it drove by us really slowly until it stopped and the two men seated in the back got out calling out to us; we didn’t wait, didn’t grace them with a response, just walked away very quickly. I cannot explain the sense of urgency I had deep in my Spirit, all I knew was that we had to get away from them as quickly as possible; they followed us a few more feet, then went back, got in the car, and drove off.

Now, let me explain something. I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria where you have to be street smart and savvy in order to survive and thrive in a sense, and I did. So I rarely ever feel threatened on the streets in most of Western Europe, but I did that night and I learnt a long time ago to go with my instincts, and listen and respond to the prodding of the Spirit in me; I’m glad we did on Friday night! I don’t know exactly what those men were up to; if they wanted to “invite” us to a party, solicit for sex, abduct us, rob us, or threaten us for reaching out to men and women in the red light district, but I’m glad we didn’t wait to find out.

Thank you to those who are praying for me, those thinking of me, and those supporting me in the work that God has called me to.

God bless you!
